What is a sales intelligence platform?
A sales intelligence platform gives sellers data to find and understand prospects: company facts, contacts, and signals such as intent, hiring or job changes. Tools differ in which of those they lead with. Our guide on what sales intelligence is covers the categories and limits; this page compares the tools.
Most of them answer “who matches my filters, and how do I reach them?” Fewer answer “which of these companies has a problem I solve right now, and why?” That second question is where account qualification comes in, and it is why we split the list by job below.
How we compared the tools
- What it finds: contact data, company data, signals, or qualified accounts.
- Signals: intent, website visitors, job changes, or dated public events.
- Free option and published entry price, from each vendor’s pricing page.
- Limits a buyer should know before signing, such as credit rules or quote-only pricing.
We did not run a data accuracy test for this page; coverage varies by region and industry, so test any tool on your own target list before you buy.

1. ZoomInfo: enterprise data and intent
ZoomInfo is one of the largest enterprise databases, with company and contact data, intent signals and integrations into most CRMs. Pricing is quoted by sales, with terms generally one to three years; there is a free trial and a freemium ZoomInfo Lite. It suits larger teams that want one data source for the whole company. See our ZoomInfo alternatives and ZoomInfo reviews.
2. Apollo: data and outreach at a published price
Apollo combines a contact database with sequences, a dialer, AI research and intent topics. Its free plan includes 900 credits per seat a year, granted monthly; Basic costs $49 per seat a month billed annually and includes 30,000 credits per seat a year and 6 intent topics. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 8. See our Apollo alternatives.
3. Cognism: phone-verified contact data
Cognism is a contact database known for phone-verified mobile numbers. Pricing is quoted by sales and it offers a free data sample rather than a free plan. Teams that rely on calling often shortlist it. See our Cognism alternatives.
4. Lusha and UpLead: quick lookups for small teams
Lusha suits small teams that look up a contact at a time: a free plan with 40 credits a month and Starter at $37.45 a month billed yearly, where a phone number costs 5 credits. Its site now also lists buying signals and buying group mapping. UpLead sells credits that each reveal a contact with email and mobile, from $74 a month billed annually. See our Lusha alternatives.
5. RocketReach and Seamless.AI: contact search
RocketReach has a low annual entry price: Essentials is $399 a year for email only, with phone numbers on higher plans. Seamless.AI offers contact search with buyer intent, job changes and an engagement hub for emailing and calling; it is free up to 50 credits and paid plans are quoted after a demo. See our RocketReach alternatives and Seamless.AI alternatives.
6. Clay: build your own research
Clay is a data workbench: you build tables where each column pulls data from a provider or asks its AI research agent a question. It is flexible and suits teams with someone to build and maintain the workflows. A free plan includes 500 actions and 100 data credits a month; Launch costs $167 a month billed annually. See our Clay alternatives.
7. 6sense: intent for account-based teams
6sense combines third-party intent, predictive scoring, website visitor identification and account-based advertising. Its Sales Intelligence bundles are quoted, and its free Sales Intelligence plan ended on August 12, 2026. It suits marketing and sales teams running account-based programs. See our 6sense alternatives and intent data providers.
8. Salesmotion: briefs for named accounts
Salesmotion monitors named accounts and writes briefs from news, earnings calls, filings and job posts. The Individual plan is $85 a month with 200 contact credits. It suits account executives with a fixed territory who want alerts rather than new accounts.
9. SalesOne: qualified accounts before outreach
SalesOne is AI account research and qualification for B2B teams. S1 agents search your market for companies with a dated reason to act, keep or turn down each one against your profile with its reason, map the buying committee and draft outreach. A person approves every message, and every approval is recorded with who gave it. Contact details come from 20+ data providers, only for the people your team picks.
In SalesOne’s October 2026 production research runs, S1 agents checked 1,051 companies and kept 249, and every company turned down kept its reason. In one pilot, after researching a trade show’s attendee list, about 180 people were emailed, about 40 replied and 47 meetings were held at the event; see our case studies.
How do you choose a sales intelligence tool?
- Name the job: contacts for a list you already have, or deciding which companies deserve outreach at all.
- Test coverage on 50 of your own target accounts, in your regions and industries.
- Read the credit rules: what a phone number costs, whether credits roll over, and what happens at renewal.
- Check the signals: are they dated, and can you open the source behind each one?
- Ask who acts on the data: a person who approves every message, or automation that sends on its own.
Who is SalesOne built for?
SalesOne is built for B2B companies where one new client is worth a considered conversation: founders still doing the selling, growing sales teams and enterprise named-account programs that want to know which companies have a problem they solve, and why now, before anyone writes a word.
